Project Travel

While working at Project Travel, now Via-Trm, I was the lead designer on their SaaS web application, creating two new features and working directly with our CEO to define user stories. I also did some branding work for the company and redesigned their 2015 website.

Matching Students to Programs

Identifying there was a need to connect students to study abroad programs, I worked directly with our founders to create the program matching feature that did just that. After interviews with many students, we saw a pattern of being overwhelmed. Our focus was to present the right information at the right time. Following the launch, we signed on three major clients and adopted their student audience.

After launching the program matching feature, my focus shifted to our other user type; International Educators and Universities. As we worked to create program matching, we heard an overarching demand for a tool that could automate application management.

We launched a series of interviews, sent surveys, and collected data from our users to set goals for the initial iteration. Focusing on outcomes, we shipped a tool that met our requirements.

Telling a New Story

Telling a New Story

Once we had pushed these features, the site needed a facelift to show our new value in the marketplace. Project Travel also changed locations and had a new team, meaning we needed to update the site's About & Contact pages.

For students, we focused on gaining more registrations, so we could close with more University leads.

For International Educators & University offices we needed to capture interest, & ultimately convert leads into paying clients. I chose to show the value of our product, as well as leverage our existing community to tell the story of how this product saves time through a variety of testimonies.
